#Selangor2022 continues economic recovery efforts — MB

SHAH ALAM, Nov 24 — Efforts to restore the economy of Selangorians will be continued in the #Selangor2022 Budget, which is scheduled to be tabled this Friday (November 26)

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said RM2.3 billion expenditure through the 2021 Selangor Budget and RM627.4 million in the two series of the Pakej Kita Selangor has helped the people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

He added the economic reflected throughout the year has proven the state government’s stability and tenacity in serving the people.

“Behind the global health crisis, the 2021 Selangor Budget succeeded in balancing the people’s needs, the business community, and the state’s economic development.

“Through the five main strategies haded by the digitalisation agenda, the state government has minimised the pandemic’ worst effects, as indicated by the RM2 billion in revenue collected thus far,” Amirudin said in a Facebook post.

Similarly the allocations channeled through the two Pakej Kita Selangor series on January 20 and June 9 has managed to dampen the effects of the movement control order’s implementation.

The state government also introduced the Selangor Vaccination Programme (Selvax) to increase the vaccination rate among the state’s citizens.

“This strategy not only reduces the burden of hospitals, but also increase economic activity and investors’ confidence,” he said.
