SIBS 2021 aims for 500 business exhibitors, 10,000 visitors

SHAH ALAM, Nov 17 — Invest Selangor Bhd is anticipating some 10,000 participants to visit its four-day Selangor International Business Summit (SIBS) 2021 event, which begins tomorrow (Thursday).

The investment arm of the state government is also expecting about 500 exhibitors to take part in the exhibitions.

Visitors are reminded to register early due to limited participation allowed during the regional business summit, which is also only open to those who are fully vaccinated.

‘Foreign exhibitors would also have to comply with the rules set by the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (Mida),” said Invest Selangor corporate communication unit when contacted, yesterday.

SIBS 2021 hybrid event will be held from November 18 to 21 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre and will be launched by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

A total of RM11 million has been allocated for the whole development and management of the summit including advertisement and promotion, the rental of the ballroom, conference and exhibition halls and others.

The summit will also see five exhibitions and three conferences running with a minimum of 150 participants at each event.
