SHAH ALAM, Dec 16 — A total of 5,000 individuals in the state have received their booster doses through the Selangor Vaccination Programme (Selvax) Booster thus far.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said this is a testament to the fighting spirit of Selangor citizens in curbing the Covid-19 pandemic, which threatens the state’s well-being.

“To ensure Selangor residents have access to optimal protection against the Covid-19 virus, the state government offers free booster doses through Selvax Booster.

“As of December 13, a total of 33,358 Selangor citizens have registered (for Selvax booster) in the SELangkah mobile app, indicating the encouraging public response,” he wrote on Facebook today.

On December 7, Amirudin announced that 157,000 booster doses would be given for free through the programme starting from December 8.

Individuals aged 18 and above who have completed two doses of the vaccine can get their booster shots at the nearest Selcare Clinic.

A list of clinics offering Selvax Booster can be found on the website https://selcareclinic.com/our-clinics/ or in the SELangkah app.
