Jordan, Bahrain express sympathy, condolences to Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 23 — Jordan and Bahrain expressed their condolences to Malaysia following the natural disaster that struck last weekend, causing property destruction as well as loss of life.

Jordanian Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson Haitham Abu Al Foul, in a statement, also expressed the solidarity of his country with the government and the people of Malaysia in facing the flood disaster.

“Sympathy and condolences to the government and the people, especially those affected by this natural disaster,” he said.

The Bahraini Foreign Ministry also expressed sympathy for the victims of the floods in Malaysia.

“Hopefully, your affairs will be eased and you will persevere through the trials,” he said in a statement published by the Bahrain News Agency (BNA).

Malaysia was hit by massive floods and landslides in several areas and states due to continuous heavy rains, claiming 37 lives to date.
