MB: Flood victims’ fiscal aid application procedure to be confirmed next week

SHAH ALAM, Dec 22 — The procedure to apply for the RM1,000 assistance for the families of flood victims will be announced on Monday (December 27), said Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

He said the process is currently being finalised, to make it easier for those affected by the floods to get immediate aid.

“Many have asked about the application procedure, and some have even said a form is needed where various things must be done for the application.

“I wish to inform that we are finalising the process as quickly as possible, without having to go to many agencies. I will announce it on Monday next week,” Amirudin said on Twitter earlier today.

Yesterday the state government announced RM100 million will be set aside for the Selangor Bangkit programme, following the flooding disaster which struck several districts beginning on Saturday (December 18)

Asides from infrastructural restoration, the Menteri Besar said the allocation will cover RM10,000 in assistance for the families of those who died in the floods.

Similarly RM1,000 will be given to the heads of households who were affected by the floods, to restore their homes and any damaged items.
