PUCHONG, Dec 16 — Nearly 5,000 individuals in Selangor have received their booster shots through the Selangor Vaccination Programme (Selvax) Booster as of December 14.

State executive councillor for public health Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud said those individuals have pre-registered on the SELangkah mobile app which saw over 33,000 pre-registration received since Selvax Booster started on December 8.

“In total, there are 13 Selcare Clinics that provide the booster dose with an estimated 2,000 doses being administered daily. The daily doses for each clinic are limited to 150 doses,” she said during a press conference after officiating the donation programme involving B40 recipients at Dewan Serbaguna MPSJ Kampung Seri Aman, yesterday.

According to Dr Siti Mariah, the Selvax Booster programme will also be extended to six constituencies namely Seri Kembangan, Taman Templer, Rawang, Bandar Utama, Balakong and Tanjong Sepat.

The state government had announced that some 157,000 booster doses will be given for free through the programme, beginning December 8.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said individuals aged 18 and above and who have received two doses of vaccine previously could get the additional jab at the nearest Selcare Clinic.

The list of participating clinics can be found via https://selcareclinic.com/our-clinics/ or the SELangkah mobile app.
