Over 2,000 tonnes of post-flood waste hauled by KDEBWM

SHAH ALAM, Dec 27 — Approximately 2,077 metric tonnes of waste has been collected by KDEB Waste Management (KDEBWM) during their post-flood clean-up work in the flood-affected areas around the state, as of 9pm yesterday.

In a Facebook post, the agency said it will continue to ensure the services they provide will help ease the burden of flood victims.

“As of 9pm tonight (December 26), a total of 2,077 metric tonnes of post-flood waste has been collected using 336 RORO (roll-on-roll-off) trucks and 51 excavators, with a strength of 767 officers,” it said.

KDEBWM added it will continue to speed up work on the post-flood cleanup in Selangor.

Earlier on, it said the post-flood clean-up operation commenced on Friday in several affected areas, including Hulu Langat, Puchong, Meru, Semenyih, and Kampung Bestari Jaya.
