Water supply to 463 areas in Selangor fully restored

SHAH ALAM, Dec 18 — Water supply at 463 areas in five regions were fully restored at 11pm last night.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) said the Petaling, Hulu Langat, Sepang, Putrajaya and Kuala Langat regions had experienced unscheduled water supply disruption due to the shutdown of Sungai Semenyih Water Treatment Plant (WTP)  following an odour pollution incident in Sungai Semenyih two days ago.

“Air Selangor would like to thank the consumers for their patience and cooperation during this unscheduled water supply disruption period,” it said on Facebook.

Consumers are advised to obtain official information on water supply disruptions through all Air Selangor official communication channels, namely the Air Selangor application, website www.airselangor.com, as well as Air Selangor’s social media platforms including FacebookInstagram and Twitter.

Inquiries and complaints can also be submitted to the Air Selangor Contact Centre at 15300 or Help Centre via the Air Selangor application.

On December 16, the WTP had to temporarily cease its operations, after diesel odour pollution was detected in Sungai Semenyih.
