KUALA LANGAT, Jan 5 — Over 800 application forms for the Bantuan Selangor Bangkit (BSB) assistance from flood victims in Morib have been sent to the Land and District Office, said its assemblyman Hasnul Baharuddin.

He said as of now, around 100 families in the Morib constituency have received the RM1,000 cash aid under the BSB programme.

“Those who yet to do so are advised to go to the registration centre at Balai Majlis Pengurusan Komuniti Kampung (MPKK) Sri Jugra and Balai Penghulu Morib Kelanang.

“The registration centre is open until January 31 and those affected by the flood could come to the centre for reference,” he said after visiting two temporary relief centres (PPS) in Balai Raya Kampung Banting and Dewan Orang Ramai Kelanang, here yesterday.

On December 21, the Selangor government allocated RM100 million in funds under the BSB programme, following the flood incident in several districts at the end of last year.

Apart from infrastructural recovery, the initiative also covers cash aid of RM10,000 to the families of flood victims who perished in the incident. The RM1,000 cash aid also will be distributed to the heads of families to help restore their homes and cover damages.

Eligible recipients include flood victims who were relocated to the registered PPS, private PPS and those who remained at home.

Previously, Amirudin expected the disbursement of cash aid will be completed by the end of January 2022.
