SHAH ALAM, Jan 18 — Yayasan Hijrah Selangor (Hijrah Selangor) has opened applications for seven financing schemes to help entrepreneurs grow their businesses.

The agency informed that applications for the funding under the Inisiatif Peduli Rakyat (IPR) scheme can be made at the link http://mikrokredit.selangor.gov.my/e-hijrah/login and more information are available at www.hijrahselangor.com.

“Entrepreneurs who are interested in increasing their business capital with a financing scheme from Hijrah Selangor can apply,” it said on Facebook.

The seven financing schemes offered by Hijrah are i-Bisnes, Zero to Hero, Niaga Darul Ehsan (NaDI), Go Digital, i-Lestari, i-Agro and i-Bermusim.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari when tabling the 2022 Selangor Budget on November 26 last year announced several improvements in the Hijrah financing scheme this year.

He announced an RM120 million fund to provide financing to entrepreneurs besides creating new schemes that provide loans of up to RM100,000 to grow businesses.

The state government has also created the i-Agro financing scheme for 2,000 farmers with maximum financing of RM26,000, built the Dataran Hijrah, increased loans from RM5,000 to RM10,000 for the Zero to Hero programme.

The Selangor government also incurred an expenditure of RM15 million by providing a moratorium of two months on loan repayments involving 921 Hijrah entrepreneurs who were affected by last year’s great floods.
