MPHS donates teaching aids, physiotherapy equipment for OKU children

SHAH ALAM, Jan 25 — The Hulu Selangor Municipal Council (MPHS) has contributed teaching aids and physiotherapy equipment to the Kuala Kubu Bharu District Health Office (PDK) yesterday.

MPHS said eight other PDKs in the district also received the same equipment through the Special Award Programme for persons with disabilities (OKU).

“This programme’s target is to give exposure to the special children (OKU) to live their life like ordinary people as well as give them new experiences and knowledge.

“It also aims to create awareness among the community on its rights and responsibilities towards the OKU community that constantly need proper attention and assistance,” said the council on Facebook today.

At the handover ceremony, MPHS president Mohd Hasry Nor Mohd also attended a briefing on PDK operation and spent time with special children.
