SHAH ALAM, Jan 20 — Kuala Langat Municipal Council (MPKL) has adorned Dataran Banting with animal-shaped light decorations to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
Its president Datuk Amirul Azizan Abd Rahim said the decorations were contributed by the Fo Guang Shan (FGS) Dong Zen Temple in Jenjarom, through their corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme.
“A total of 18 light decorations in the shape of tiger, dragon, ox and chicken were installed at Dataran Banting.
“The decorations are switched on from 6pm to 12 midnight. It was installed on January 13 and will be displayed until February 21,” he said in a statement today.
Amirul also invited the public to visit and experience the beautiful light decorations at the Dataran Banting.
