SHAH ALAM, Jan 17 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari congratulated 1,476 women entrepreneurs in Selangor who managed to obtain funding and start their own businesses.

He said he hopes the funding obtained through the state’s Niaga Darul Ehsan Scheme (NaDI) will help the entrepreneurs generate their own income.

“Hopefully, their family life will become better with the support of this scheme,” Amirudin said in a Facebook post today.

Last Friday he said the scheme, which was recorded since February last year, involved an RM6.07 million allocation, with each of the entrepreneurs receiving between RM1,000 to RM5,000 of funds.

According to him, the scheme is for those who want to start small businesses by providing them with a simple, fast and unburdening business rolling capital.

Open to all women regardless of race, interested individuals can submit their applications at the www.hijrahselangor.com website, or contact the fund officers at any of Hijrah Selangor’s 20 branches throughout the state.
