SHAH ALAM, Jan 4 — Over 1,700 volunteers from Team Selangor were involved in cleaning flood victims’ houses as well as distributing food packs to those affected since December 18.

Its secretariat chief Syahaizel Keman said most of the activities were conducted in the badly-hit areas including Petaling, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Langat and Kuala Langat.

“Since a few days ago, we helped to clean the house’s compound including clearing out the flood waste or broken home appliances as most of the victims have cleaned the other parts in their houses.

“As of now, over 110 houses have been cleaned, especially those belonging to the senior citizens and people with disabilities (OKU) houses,” he said when contacted by SelangorKini.
