SHAH ALAM, Jan 31 — The Selangor FC (SFC) will be holding a cancer awareness campaign in conjunction with the World Cancer Day at the Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre, Petaling Jaya, on February 4.

The Red Giants said that the campaign will collaborate with TDC Holdings Sdn Bhd (TDC), with the theme “Lets Cope with A Neon Hope.” The event will run from 2pm to 4pm.

“Inspired by the high fighting spirit of our team captain, Brendan Gan, SFC would like to spread the hope and holistically raise public awareness on cancer.

“This campaign is also aimed at creating awareness that cancer can be cured and that regular health checks are important to detect the early signs of the disease for early treatment,” the football team said on Facebook.

Those interested to take part in the initiative can sign up at www.neonhope.my.

“Various attractive activities will be featured, including the launch of the new SFC away kit, a meet-and-greet session with the team, free cancer screening and many more.

“Let’s show your support for the #RedGiants and mark your calendars,” said SFC, adding that only those who are fully vaccinated are allowed to participate in the programme.
