Selangor records highest export growth in Nov last year

SHAH ALAM, Jan 15 — Selangor has recorded the highest increase in export value in November last year thus becoming the major contributor to the country’s economic growth.

The achievement was shared by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari on Twitter today.

“Selangor has recorded the highest export value in November 2021, contributing RM6.3 billion or 32.4 per cent of the country’s export value of RM27.5 billion in the month,” he said.

The Menteri Besar also shared the news link reported by Sinar Harian on the achievement based on the Import Export Statistics Report by State for November 2021.

The report also stated that Malaysia’s total trade for November 2021 amounted to RM205.5 billion, up 34.9 per cent year-on-year (y-o-y), with exports of RM112.2 billion (+32.4 per cent y-o-y) and imports worth RM93.3 billion (+38.0 per cent y-o-y).
