Sri Muda free bus service to be continued, can be extended if necessary

CHERAS, Jan 10 — There is no set duration limit for the free Selangor Smart Bus service in the Taman Sri Muda area of Section 25, Shah Alam, said state executive councillor for transportation Ng Sze Han.

He said the service, which began on January 1, is to be continued since it was met with great enthusiasm by the residents of the flood-affected area.

“We do not know when this service will end, it will carry on as many cars have yet to be repaired. It has been well-received at this time, with passengers.

“If need be, we will extend the service further on, since it is meant to make it easier for residents to move about,” Ng said during the BAIK programme yesterday.

The temporary bus service begins at the Sri Muda Hub, followed by the Sri Muda police station, the Jalan Hasrat stop, the NSK Supermarket, Petron Sri Muda, and Pangsapuri Andorra.

It commences at 6am until 10pm every day, with a frequency of one bus an hour.
