Storm, rain warnings for Selangor, other states until night today

SHAH ALAM, Jan 25 — The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rains in the state, and several others today.

On Twitter, the agency said the bad weather is expected to last until 9pm today. Selangor’s districts that will be affected include Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Klang, Gombak, Petaling, Kuala Langat, and Sepang.

The same weather patterns have been predicted for Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Kedah which covers Kulim and Bandar Baharu, Peanng (Seberang Perai Utara, Seberang Perai Tengah, and Seberang Perai Selatan) Perak (Kerian, Larut, Matang dan Selama, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang, and Muallim), Negeri Sembilan (Seremban and Port Dickson), as well as Melaka (Alor Gajah).

In Sarawak, heavy rains and thunderstorms will affect Sri Aman and Kapit (Song, Kapit, dan Bukit Mabong) while in Sabah it will affect Pedalaman (Keningau and Tambunan) and Tawau.
