Thaipusam: Road closures in Kuala Selangor from Monday to Tuesday

By Mustakim Ramli

SHAH ALAM, Jan 15 — Two roads in Kuala Selangor will be closed for two days beginning Monday (January 17) to give way to the Thaipusam celebration procession at Subramaniar Alayam Swamy Temple, Batu 2.

Kuala Selangor district chief police Superintendent Ramli Kasa said alternative routes are provided following the closure of Jalan Bukit Rotan and Jalan Klang-Teluk Intan heading towards Tanjong Keramat roads.

“The route from Teluk Intan to Klang is closed at Kilometer 45.5 and diverted at the Teluk Piah traffic lights.

“Meanwhile the route from Klang to Teluk Intan will be open only for one direction which is for the vehicles from Klang to Teluk Intan,” he said in a statement.

He added traffic policemen will be stationed at the locations aside from the placement of notice boards to ensure smooth traffic flow.

“All road users are urged to comply with the directives given during this duration. Summons would be issued and towing action will be taken against vehicles that obstruct traffic,” he said.
