GM Klang targets business rental demand to increase 30 pct this year

SHAH ALAM, Feb 28 — The GM Klang Wholesale Centre is targeting to achieve an increase in the rental demand for its business space by more than 30 per cent this year compared with the previous year on the back of increasing purchasing power of consumers and the number of entrepreneurs.

Brand communications manager Norsuhaida Othman said the increase was projected following the government’s decision to reopen various sectors and provide avenues for businesses to bounce back after nearly two years of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“This situation has also led to higher demand for retail space in GM Klang compared to the previous year,” she said in a statement today.

Norsuhaida said GM Klang has always kept the momentum of business transactions for traders and customers stable with increased spending on advertising and promotion to strengthen branding activities at the largest wholesale centre in the country.

She said group buses were now increasing again, albeit at a moderate rate, hence, the rise in the number of visitors compared to during the restrictions of movements.

“GM Klang has also received many positive inquiries from foreign traders about the business space here, depicting their confidence in the GM Klang brand remains high,” he said.

Offering a comprehensive business platform, a wide selection of commercial space available for rent, amenities, as well as attracting about 20,000 customers a day, she said GM Klang would definitely provide compelling business benefits for entrepreneurs.
