KLANG, Feb 10 — Indian entrepreneurs are encouraged to apply for the special rolling capital loan for the community via the Viyabaram@Sitham programme to expand their business.

State executive councillor for entrepreneur development Rodziah Ismail said after it was launched in 2021, a total of 50 entrepreneurs have applied for the loans.

She said, biryani rice seller, S Ramesh became the first entrepreneur to receive the benefit.

“He is eligible to receive the Sitham (Selangor State Indian Entrepreneur Development Programme) equipment grant worth more than RM9,000 and was also offered a food truck loan by KoHijrah worth RM50,000,” said Rodziah.

She said this after handing over the grant to Ramesh at his business premise in Bukit Tinggi here yesterday.

Yayasan Hijrah Selangor (Hijrah Selangor) has allocated RM10 million as special rolling capital loan assistance for the Indian community through the Viyabaram@Sitham programme.

The initiative was implemented to encourage the entrepreneurs to continue their business and not quit halfway.

Those interested in the programme can apply through the Hijrah Selangor website.
