SHAH ALAM, Feb 25 — The Kajang Municipal Council (MPKj) has approved 33 locations for Ramadan bazaars to be held under its jurisdiction this year.

Its president Najmuddin Jemain said the small traders and business control committee meeting had also approved three Ramadan carnivals to be organised in preparation for the Hari Raya festival.

“Successful applicants and organisers are required to attend a briefing on March 3 at Hotel Bangi Resort. The offer letter will be submitted during the session,” he said at the monthly meeting today.

On February 21, state executive councillor for local government Ng Sze Han had asked the local councils to identify more Ramadan bazaar sites to avoid congestions.

The measures would help monitor the standard operating procedures compliance among the traders and visitors.
