MPKL: Maintain service excellence culture, improve work quality

KUALA LANGAT, Feb 17 — Kuala Langat Municipal Council (MPKL) staff are urged to continue to maintain a culture of service excellence for the benefit of the community.

Its president Dato ‘Amirul Azizan Abd Rahim said having civil servants who put aside individual interests and egos was the key ingredient to that success.

“The negative views of the public especially on integrity and governance in the public service must be counteracted by improving and enhancing the quality of services.

“Based on this principle, MPKL will continue to practice excellent governance as a local authority with strong commitment and the results can be seen tonight (yesterday),” said Dato ‘Amirul Azizan Abd Rahim.

He said this during MPKL’s Excellent Service Awards (APC) and Appreciation Awards ceremony at Universiti Mahsa here.

A total of 35 MPKL staff from various departments received the Excellent Service Awards (APC) 2021 and eight others who have served 25 years received the Appreciation Awards.

Amirul Azizan said the awards are recognition for the excellent work performance shown by the staff and hoped they would maintain this momentum in performing their duties.

“Do not give in easily to the trials and challenges that lie ahead. Continue to perform and give the very best commitment in work towards success,” he said.

Last night ceremony was officiated by Selangor State Secretary Dato’ Haris Kasim.
