SHAH ALAM, Feb 24 — A total of 87,872 individuals have received their Covid-19 booster shots under the Selangor Vaccination Programme (Selvax) Booster since last December.

Selgate Healthcare Sdn Bhd chief operating officer Tengku Iesta Tengku Alaudin said their Selcare clinics received visits by many individuals every day, thus proving that the programme was getting an encouraging response.

“We have also organised several Selvax Booster programmes in certain locations in Selangor at the request of the elected representatives,” he told Selangorkini.

He also advised any individual who had not received a booster dose to do so immediately following the recent rise in daily Covid-19 cases.

According to him, they have also set up a special line at 1800-226-600 operating for 24 hours to help the public get clarification related to the vaccine.

On December 7 last year, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari announced that 157,000 booster doses would be given free of charge through the Selvax Booster programme.
