SHAH ALAM, Feb 13 — The Selangor Pavilion in Serdang will be upgraded in preparations for the Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism Show (Maha) 2022 slated to be held in November.
State executive councillor for agricultural modernisation and agro-based industry Izham Hashim said rehabilitation works would be carried out at critical areas soon after a delay of almost two years due to the Covid-19 situation.
“We already have an allocation for this, but the works had to be postponed following the pandemic. This year we are confident that we will be able to host the Maha event therefore the necessary preparations have to be done,” he told SelangorKini.
Izham said the concept and design of the infrastructure have been decided, which will see the area to be more organised and attractive, and is awaiting the execution process.
The Maha 2020 show was previously postponed due to the worrying increase in Covid-19 cases and efforts to curb the spread of the coronavirus within the community.
