Water supply for 23 areas in Kuala Selangor to recover by 3pm — Air Selangor

SHAH ALAM, Feb 24 — A total of 23 areas in Kuala Selangor are experiencing unscheduled water disruption, following a burst pipe incident in Jalan Batang Berjuntai early this morning.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) said the water supply was temporarily disrupted at 3.10am this morning to allow repair work to be done.

“As of 11am today, the repair work has reached 70 per cent and is expected to be completed at 3.10pm.

“All appropriate actions have been taken to speed up the repair process,” said Air Selangor in a statement on its app.

Among the areas involved are Pekan Batang Berjuntai, Taman Pancaran, Taman Sri Indah, Taman Pelangi, Taman Kilauan, Taman Sri Cahaya, Taman Cahaya Indah, Jalan Rawang, Kampung Asahan, Kampung Tanjung Siam, Kampung Kuantan, Teluk Penyamun, Kampung Sepakat, all of Bukit Rotan , Kampung Api-Api, and Taman Bendahara.

Also affected are Taman Telaga Tujuh, Taman Paduka, Taman Sri Piai, Taman Sirambai, Taman Kuala Selangor Utama, Taman Kuala Selangor Jaya, and Assam Jawa.

Meanwhile, Air Selangor announced that its customer service counter will operate from 9am to 1pm from February 21 to March 7.

“We encourage customers to go online for water bill payment, arrange change of ownership, and related matters. This measure can reduce the spread and risk of Covid-19 infection,” the agency said in a statement on Facebook.
