SHAH ALAM, March 5 — The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has forecast thunderstorms, heavy rains and strong winds in Selangor until 7pm today.
In a post on Facebook, the department had issued the warning to take place in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and several other states as well.
“The warning is issued when there are signs of thunderstorms with rainfall intensity exceeding 20mm/hour, which is expected to take place for over an hour.
“Thunderstorms warning is a short-term warning which is valid within six hours after it is issued,” the statement read, issued at 3.45pm.
Other states that will see a similar weather condition include Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak, Kelantan, Pahang, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Johor, Sabah, Sabah and Sarawak.
