SHAH ALAM, March 11 — Repair work to fix a pipe burst in Jalan Kuari, Kg Cheras Baru, Kuala Lumpur (KL) was completed at 4:15am today.
Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) said water supply has started to be distributed to the consumers in the 13 affected areas in KL.
“The water supply recovery period differs from one area to another according to the location and distance of consumers’ premises.
“Water supply in all affected areas is expected to fully recover at 4am, tomorrow (March 12),” said Air Selangor on Facebook today.
Air Selangor advised consumers who have received water supply to let water from the tap flow until it is clear before daily use.
The agency said alternative assistance through water tankers have been mobilised to the affected areas, with priority given to critical premises.
It also reminded consumers to cooperate by practising social distancing and wearing face masks while collecting their water supply from the tankers.
Yesterday, Air Selangor announced that a burst pipe incident has occurred at Jalan Kuari, Kampung Cheras Baru, at 8.45pm, and repair work is scheduled to be completed at 8.45am today.
The incident caused unscheduled water disruption in Taman Muda, Taman Bukit Permai, Taman Bukit Pandan, Kampung Cheras Baru, Taman Mawar, Taman Seraya, Taman Mega, Taman Bukit Teratai, Taman Melur, Taman Saga, Taman Putra, Taman Mewah and Taman Mestika.
