PETALING JAYA, April 6 — A total of 30 traders at the SS6/1 Ramadan bazaar in Kelana Jaya have participated in the Selangor Platforms (Plats) to introduce their businesses during the fasting month.
Petaling Jaya mayor Mohamad Azhan Md Amir said the initiative could help the traders to generate more income.
“Foods sold through Plats could get extensive promotion and help the traders gain more orders.
“We welcome more traders operating at the bazaars in Petaling Jaya to join this platform as it would benefit their business,” he said when met after visiting the Ramadan bazaar yesterday.
Plats was introduced in 2020 during Ramadan to complement the Selangor digitalisation agenda ecosystem, which involves entrepreneurs on a digital platform.
On April 11 last year, Plats 2.0 was initiated to help traders generate more income at all times and not limited only during the fasting month.
As of December 31, some 7,742 traders have registered under Plats 2.0 following efforts by the Selangor Digital Friends, which had reached out to the traders on the ground and encouraged them to join the programme.
