Drivers with no parking apps can pay via GoPayy agents — MPKS

SHAH ALAM, April 29 —Motorists in Kuala Selangor who do not have the Smart Selangor Parking (SSP) and FlexiParking mobile applications could make payment digitally through registered GoPayy agents.

Kuala Selangor Municipal Council (MPKS) said that the method of payment also covers those who do not own a smartphone and are not familiar with the e-wallet technology that was implemented statewide on April 1.

“The use of digital coupons is very easy, fast and safe. It is easily available through registered agents across the state.

“Users no longer need to scratch the parking coupons and display them on the vehicle’s dashboard. They also need not scratch more than one coupon at any given time,” it said on Facebook.

The local council added that through GoPayy, which is handled by Suasa Efektif (M) Sdn Bhd (Suasa Ekeftif), users are only required to provide their vehicle registration number to the agents and payment could be made according to the required time period.

MPKS said users could also trace and control their spending as the data and purchase records would be automatically stored in the system.

“Get your GoPayy Digital Coupon from registered agents nearby,” it said.

Previously, Suasa Efektif said Selayang Municipal Council (MPS), Kajang Municipal Council (MPKj), Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) and MPKS would begin using the method of payment this month.

Its chief executive officer Dr Zainuddin Othman said they followed the Sepang Municipal Council (MPS) which was the first local council to use the service since October last year.

Starting on April 1, the payment for car parking for all local authorities throughout Selangor now fully utilises the e-coupon system via the Smart Selangor Parking (SSP) app.

The public is encouraged to download the SSP app on Google Play Store, Apple App Store and Huawei AppGallery for the ease of making payments.
