Hijrah dismisses claims of RM1,000 Aidilfitri grants as false

SHAH ALAM, April 19 — The Selangor Hijrah Foundation has denied the allegations of RM1,000 Hari Raya Aidilfitri grant payments made to applicants which went viral on social media.

Its corporate department said the information, spread through WhatsApp and several other channels, is false.

“Hijrah denies the matter and that no RM1,000 grant payments for Aidilfitri were made.

“The foundation at the present has never appointed outside individuals including political channels in providing any grants,” it said in a statement.

Hijrah added it only provides non-grant funding and no form of early payment is made incumbent on applicants.
