SHAH ALAM, April 2 — Convenience store chain KK Super Mart has been appointed as the official e-Coupon agent for Smart Selangor Parking (SSP) digital parking payment system which was enforced throughout the state starting yesterday.
According to the state executive councillor for local government Ng Sze Han, it was to make it easier for those who do not have the SSP smartphone application (app) to pay for their parking fees.
“Starting today (April 1), the whole of Selangor will use the digital application to make parking payments. No more scratch-and-display coupons or paper coupons.
“Those who do not have the SSP app can buy parking credit at KK Super Mart and other e-coupon agents starting today (April 1),” he posted on Facebook yesterday.
He said more e-Coupon agents will be appointed throughout Selangor for the convenience of road users.
Starting April 1, on-street parking fees in all local authorities throughout Selangor can only be made using the e-coupons through the SSP app.
Users are encouraged to download the SSP app on the Google Play Store, Apple AppStore or Huawei Store.
On March 24, Ng said that scratch-and-display parking coupon holders need to register as SSP users to transfer the value of the coupons into the app starting March 26.
