MB celebrates students’ reps, launches Putra Mahkota Knowledge City

HULU LANGAT, April 16 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari today attended the ‘Jalinan Ukhwah Ramadan’ programme with university and college students in the state at the Selangor International Islamic University College (Kuis) here.

Amirudin also launched the Putra Mahkota Knowledge City which aims to become an educational cluster to benefit the local community.

During the event, the Menteri Besar also handed over ‘duit raya’ donations to 13 students from the ‘asnaf’ group.

Also present at the event was Kuis Rector Associate Professor Datuk Dr Mohd Farid Ravi Abdullah.

Apart from that, Amirudin has also witnessed the handover of a mock cheque worth RM150,000 from QSR Brands (M) Holdings Bhd to Mohd Farid Ravi to be distributed to the ‘asnaf’ students, schools and residents within the Putra Mahkota Knowledge City.

After breaking the fast, Amirudin performed Maghrib, Isha and Tarawih congregation prayers with other guests at the Kuis Al-Azhar Mosque.
