Ramadan bazaars under control, visitors obeying SOPs — Exco

SUBANG JAYA, April 5 — The state government is satisfied with the compliance of Ramadan bazaars in Selangor with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) despite the high number of visitors.

State executive councillor for local government Ng Sze Han said no complaints have been lodged with the authorities over any violations of SOPs to date.

“Today is the third day of fasting and in the last two days, I have observed the compliance of SOPs at Ramadan bazaars to be under control even though there were many goers.

“I will also monitor a few other Ramadan bazaars on Thursday to personally see the situation for myself,” he said after visiting Bandar Puteri Puchong Town Park earlier today.

This year, local councils throughout the state offered approximately 11,967 Ramadan bazaars lots after taking into account the current situation of Covid-19 transmission in Malaysia.
