RM40,000 donation to four mosques, 23 suraus in Ampang

AMPANG, April 20 — The state government has contributed RM20,000 to four mosques and another RM20,000 to 23 suraus in the Ampang district.

The donation was presented by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari to the Bandar Baru Ampang Mosque; Bukit Antarabangsa Mosque; Ukay Perdana Mosque and Jami’ilhuda Mosque, in Kampung Melayu Ampang.

Aidilfitri contributions were also given to 20 individuals from the low-income group (B40) and single mothers, who each received basic necessities and RM100 in cash.

Amirudin said the allocation was contributed by the Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) or MBI and the Bukit Antarabangsa state constituency Community Service Centre.

Earlier, he had performed Isyak and Tarawih congregation prayers at the Bandar Baru Ampang Mosque. Also present were state executive councillor for housing Rodziah Ismail and Bukit Antarabangsa state constituency coordinator Suzana Shaharudin.

Prior to that, the Menteri Besar attended the breaking of fast ceremony with 300 departments heads from various agencies and residents of Hulu Selangor district at the Nurul Iman Mosque, Serendah.
