GOMBAK, April 2 — The Selangor International Halal Conference (Selhac) organised by the state government has become the platform for local entrepreneurs to introduce their services to the public.
State executive councillor for halal industries Mohd Zawawi Ahmad Mughni said the inaugural three-day event that was held on March 4 has also helped the community to understand more about halal products.
“I am confident that this effort will boost the halal industry market in Selangor. Also, I am confident that many parties will play their role in creating more awareness of this industry,” he said while officiating the 2022 Halal Talk Forum at the International Islamic University Malaysia here today.
Selhac, organised in collaboration with Halal International Selangor (HIS), featured three components: forums, expos, and business matching has recorded business transactions that exceeded its target of RM37.73 million.
The event held at the Shah Alam Convention Centre featured 100 exhibitors from 40 companies that consisted of six clusters — food, pharmacy, beauty, tourism, fashion and halal ingredients.
