UiTM FC players lack experience, confidence — Coach

KUALA TERENGGANU, April 28 — UiTM FC head coach Ismail Ibrahim admitted that the lack of experience and confidence among his young players caused his team to lose all five of their Premier League matches.

According to Ismail, the weakness of his charges was obvious as they easily buckled under pressure and were overly cautious to avoid making mistakes that in the end only proved costly to them.

“This puts pressure on me and the team because their fighting spirit is not high due to the two factors..

“If we look at their passing … they easily lose the ball. If the midfield can’t hold the ball, how do you expect to play? We have to improve a lot in that aspect, “he said after their match against Terengganu FC ll (TFC ll) at the Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Stadium here last night.

The Turtles squad coached by Badrul Afzan Razali beat UiTM FC 2-0 with their goals contributed by two imported players, Jordan Mintah and Argzim Redzovic.

In this regard, Ismail said his team desperately needed the services of imported or experienced local players who could lead the young players in The Lions Troop.

Meanwhile, Badrul Afzan said last night’s success was a source of inspiration for his team to continue their winning momentum.
