SHAH ALAM, May 6 — The Jualan Prihatin Rakyat Mega which was held in conjunction with the Aidilfitri celebration at seven locations in the state has recorded a total sales of RM763,000.
Selangor Agriculture Development Corporation (PKPS) group chief executive officer Dr Mohamad Khairil Mohamad Razi said the amount was more than double their RM300,000 target during the three days of the programme.
“This result is very good and encouraging. This shows many people have benefitted from the affordable sale of essential items for Aidilfitri.
“The total value recorded covers RM622,300 in sales value as well as subsidies amounting to RM140,700,” he told SelangorKini.
He said PKPS would continue their mobile sales using lorries after the Aidilfitri celebration to ease the burden of residents’ expenses.
Last week, PKPS organised the large-scale sale of essential goods (Karnival Jualan Mega Prihatin) at seven locations, namely Tanjung Sepat (April 28) and Batang Kali (April 29).
On April 30, the same sale was organised in Kampung Pandan, Pandan Jaya, Padang Awam Batu Caves, Shah Alam Stadium and Sabak Bernam Stadium.
