SHAH ALAM, May 31 — The state government is set to organize the Mega Career Carnival, which is scheduled to take place on June 11 and June 12 at the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) Convention Center.
Running from 9am to 5.30pm, the programme will be held physically with the participation of over 100 companies of various sectors offering 20,000 job opportunities.
The companies involved include Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor, Daikin Malaysia Sdn Bhd, DHL Express, DRB Hicom Berhad, Giant Malaysia and Malayan Banking Berhad.
Other participating agencies include Media Prima Digital, Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional Sdn Bhd (Proton), Prasarana Malaysia Berhad, Shopee Malaysia, Sport Direct MST Sdn Bhd and Toyota Auto Body Malaysia Sdn Bhd.
Earlier, state executive councillor for young generation development Mohd Khairuddin Othman said the programme is being held to reduce Selangor’s unemployment rate to 3.2 per cent in the first quarter of 2022.
“This time it will be held on a larger scale after two years of being held in a hybrid mode, due to the standard operating procedures of the Covid-19 pandemic,” he said on May 12.
