SHAH ALAM, May 10 — A total of six welfare centres, including orphanages, have received Hari Raya Aidilfitri donations from the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) ‘Kongsi Rezeki’ programme.

MPAJ president Mohd Fauzi Mohd Yatim said the distribution was done in stages from April 29, including rice, sugar, milk, cooking oil, flour, and disposable diapers.

“Each organisation also received cash of RM1,000 and ‘duit raya’ totalling RM2,000. Hopefully, the donation will cheer them up during the festive celebration.

“The programme was conducted as one of the efforts to approach and help those in need, apart from fulfilling MPAJ’s corporate social responsibility,” he said in a statement.

The recipients under the programme are Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-anak Yatim dan Asnaf Qaseh Ibu, Lembah Jaya Selatan, Pusat Jagaan Sri Mesra, Taman Watan, and Pertubuhan Kebajikan dan Perlindungan Nur Qaseh Malaysia, Taman Melawati.

Other recipients include Pertubuhan Kebajikan Nur Hati, Taman Rasmi, Pertubuhan Kebajikan Asnaf An Naafi Kuala Lumpur, Bukit Antarabangsa, and Pertubuhan Kebajikan Asnaf Al Barakh Malaysia, Taman Sepakat.
