Provide Kumpool Ride service for the public, state reps told

By Siti Rohaizah Zainal

PETALING JAYA, May 9 — State representatives in Selangor are welcome to collaborate with van e-hailing provider Kumpool Ride to provide the service in their respective constituencies.

Its chairman Goh Chun Hean said that only three constituencies, namely Subang Jaya, Bukit Gasing and Kampung Tunku, have done so.

“Currently, the demand is very encouraging, with some 300 and 200 customers using the service in Subang Jaya and Bukit Gasing, respectively.

“Most of them are senior citizens and students. We hope the service will receive a better response in Kampung Tunku. We encourage the public to utilise the service as they only have to pay RM1,” he said when met after the launch of Kumpool Ride app in Kampung Tunku, here today.

The event was officiated by Kampung Tunku state representative Lim Yi Wei.

Meanwhile, Goh said customers could place an early booking for their trip via the Kumpool Ride app.

“They could book for their trips tomorrow, and the payment can be made in cash or through the Kumpool Ride wallet.

“For more information on the Kumpool routes or destinations, visit our website at http://kumpool.com.my/index.php,” he added.

Kumpool Ride was introduced to disperse traffic congestion and parking woes at a rate of RM1 for easier, comfortable and safer transportation access every day from 8am to 8pm.

The service covers over 200 stops, including bus and LRT stations and housing areas. The app can be downloaded from the Apple Store or Google’s PlayStore.
