SHAH ALAM, May 19 — The Selangor Mega Job Fair organised by the state government will take place from June 11 to June 12 at the Shah Alam City Council Convention Centre.
Running from 9am to 5.30pm, the fair will be held physically and involves over 100 companies that will offer up to 20,000 employment opportunities.
The participating companies include Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor, Daikin Malaysia Sdn Bhd, DHL Express, DRB Hicom Berhad, Giant Malaysia and Malayan Banking Berhad.
Earlier on May 12, state executive councillor for young generation development, Mohd Khairuddin Othman said the programme is being held to reduce the unemployment rate in Selangor, which currently stands at 3.2 per cent, in the first half of 2022.
“This time it will be held on a larger scale after two years of being held in a hybrid manner, due to the Covid-19 pandemic’s standard operating procedures,” he said.
