Sultan, Tengku Permaisuri hope Aidilfitri celebrations will be full of merriment, harmony in new norm

SHAH ALAM, May 2 — The Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj and Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin have wished a happy Hari Raya Aidilfitri to all Muslims, particularly in the state.

The royal couple hopes this year’s celebration is held in a festive and harmonious manner with the new norm upheld.

“His Royal Highness has decreed that although the people are now permitted to resume visiting their relatives and continue the culture of visitations, yet several standard operating procedures still in force must be heeded to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic,” said the Selangor Royal Office in a Facebook post yesterday.

The Sultan also advised Muslims, specifically those travelling back to their hometowns, to be cautious on the road.

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Maaf zahir dan batin,” said the post.
