Thousands attend Aidilfitri open house in Sepang

SEPANG, May 18 — Some 5,000 residents from all walks of life attended the state Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house held at BBST Walk, in Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi earlier tonight.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari and his wife Datin Seri Masdiana Mohamad were also present to bring festive cheer to the relaxed event.

State Secretary Datuk Haris Kasim, Sepang district officer Azali Ibrahim and state executive councillor for local government Ng Sze Han were also in attendance.

The Menteri Besar also took the opportunity to present duit raya donations to children as well as visit 23 food stalls run by Selangor government agencies.

Singers Datuk Hattan and Farahwahida performed Aidilfitri songs to entertain the guests.

The state open houses are being held from May 15 to May 21 in celebration after two years of cancellations due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The program commenced on Sunday in Hulu Selangor, followed by Gombak on Monday and in Hulu Langat yesterday, which was attended by thousands of visitors.
