By Alang Bendahara

SHAH ALAM, May 17 — Tourism Selangor invites artists, craft makers, designers or organisation representatives to participate in Tukang – Selangor Craftmanship Festival 2022 to share new innovative ideas in the production of local crafts and art products.

The state tourism agency said the festival aims to recognise skilled craftsmen who have contributed significantly to the development of heritage craft arts.

“Their ability to produce such harmonious and interestingly-blended designs echo the finesse of carpentry,” it said in a recent statement.

The agency asked those interested in submitting their proposal through the link www.shorturl.at/qACRW and reminded them that the entries start on May 12 and the submission deadline is June 12.

It said each successful applicant would receive RM10,000 for their artworks or products.

“Also, applicants will have the opportunity to exhibit their crafts at Tukang – Selangor Craftmanship Festival 2022, and their products or artworks will be promoted on Tourism Selangor’s website, social media channels and databases,” said the agency.

Applicants who wish to learn more about writing the proposal can register at www.shorturl.at/jxINU for their free workshop scheduled on June 2 from 8pm to 10pm.
