Air Selangor: Upgrading works to improve water supply system to complete 9pm tonight

By Ida Nadirah Ibrahim

SHAH ALAM, June 21 — A scheduled water supply disruption in 47 areas in the Petaling district is expected to be fully restored by 9am tomorrow, says Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor).

Its Corporate Communication head Elina Baseri said the water disruption was due to the upgrading works to the Bukit Dengkil Reservoir’s water supply system, which began today at 9am, as announced on June 10.

“The upgrading works for the water supply system is expected to be completed at 9pm.

“Water supply will be distributed in stages to consumers once the water supply distribution system has been stabilised. The duration of the water supply disruption and recovery in the affected areas will vary depending on the distance of the consumers’ premises and the water pressure at the distribution system,” the statement read.

Elina said water tankers will be delivered by Air Selangor to the affected areas, with hospitals, dialysis centres, and funerals receiving priority.

“For commercial customers, water supply purchase using their own water tankers will be made available at one local water filling station, and payment for purchase can be made at Jalan TPP 5/17, Taman Perindustrian Puchong,” she said.

For further information on the scheduled water supply disruption, visit Air Selangor’s official communication channels, namely the Air Selangor application, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter or contact the Air Selangor Contact Centre at 15300.

Inquiries and complaints can also be submitted to the Help Centre via www.airselangor.com and the Air Selangor application.
