Education main focus of state govt, continuous efforts to help schools

SHAH ALAM, June 29 — The Selangor government has made education its main agenda by striving to assist school administration in the state with their planning.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said serious attention was given to the institution because he believed that the fate of the next generation begins in school.

“Education is the main agenda of the Selangor state government. Although it is under the responsibility of the Federal government, we always strive to help schools as much as possible so that the educational process can run smoothly.

“Recently, the state government has allocated RM2.04 million for 77 schools in the Hulu Langat district to implement their plans,” he said on Facebook today.

He said applications from schools and the Parents and Teachers Association (PIBG) are scrutinised to make sure its impact and value on education could be achieved.

“Hopefully, this initiative will bring benefits to students, parents and educators,” said Amirudin.

On June 19, the Menteri Besar said the contribution to schools in Hulu Langat was proof of the state’s commitment to helping strengthen educational institutions.

The assistance was distributed to Sekolah Agama Rakyat, Sekolah Kebangsaan and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan.
