Free health screening continues in Hulu Langat, Kuala Langat, Kuala Selangor

SHAH ALAM, June 9 — The Selangor Saring free health screening programme will continue this weekend in the parliamentary constituencies of Hulu Langat, Kuala Langat and Kuala Selangor from 9am to 5pm.

This time it will cover the five state constituencies of Lembah Jaya, Bukit Antarabangsa, Sijangkang, Sungai Burong and Permatang.

The screening for the Lembah Jaya and Bukit Antarabangsa constituencies will be held at Padang Taman Kosas Ampang on June 11.

For the Sijangkang constituency it will take place on June 12 at Dewan Wawasan Kampung Medan while for the Sungai Burong and Permatang constituencies it will be held at Dewan Orang Ramai Kampung Seri Tiram Jaya.

The state government has allocated RM3.4 million for Selangor Saring, which is expected to benefit up to 39,000 people, particularly those with a family history of ailments, obese individuals, or those leading unhealthy lifestyles.

The programme, which will run until September 4, offers physical screenings including for blood and urine, eyes, breasts and cervical tests, as well as colorectal and prostate tests.

A total of 3,215 individuals have undergone the free health screening since it began on May 22.
