SHAH ALAM, June 20 — Flood victims in the Kota Kemuning area who have not yet received Bantuan Selangor Bangkit (BSB) aid have been asked to come to the Klang Land and District Office to claim the assistance.

Its state assemblyman V Ganabatirau said so far there are hundreds of victims who have yet to claim the RM1,000 in assistance, despite being eligible to receive the benefits.

“There are hundreds of flood victims who have not received BSB, not because they have yet to be processed but because they have not come to claim it. Additionally, there are also those who cannot be contacted, while others have been contacted but do not come.

“So I request those who can claim BSB to come to the Land And District Office to do so,” he told SelangorKini.

On May 7, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said a total of 121,987 flood victims and their families received the BSB at RM1,000 per family.

He said the distribution involved an expenditure of over RM122 million, including RM10,000 for the next-of-kin of victims who perished in the severe flooding last year, which is aimed at lightening their burdens.
