Kuis’ 25th convocation to be held physically in August — Rector

SHAH ALAM, June 8 — The 25th Convocation of the Selangor International Islamic University College (Kuis) will take place physically this year, for the first time following the Covid-19 pandemic.

Its rector Assoc Prof Datuk Mohd Farid Ravi Abdullah said the event, from August 14 to August 18 will allow the attendance of graduates’ parents or two representatives.

“Kuis is still taking a proactive step by ensuring the convocation is in full compliance with the standard operating procedures set by the National Security Council, which prioritises the safety and health of graduates,” he said in a statement.

Mohd Farid added the convocation will see 1,861 graduates, 23 of whom are international graduates.

“This makes the total number of graduates coming from Kuis between 1998 to 2022 at 27,337 people. Interestingly, the convocation this year will also symbolically celebrate the 25th jubilee of the organising of Kuis’ convocation ceremony,” he said.
